01 / Overview

Every slab is a one-time decision. The patio is the sum of those decisions.

01

What it is

Real stone, hand-fit. Flagstone is the patience trade — every slab is irregular, every joint is decided in the moment. We work with three Ontario quarries directly, so the stone you walk on can be traced to the bed it came out of.

02

How we approach it

Natural stone gets better with weather. Concrete gets worse. The premium pays for itself in fifteen years.

04 / Method

How a natural stone actually gets built.

  1. 01

    Visit the yard

We walk the pallet with you. Stone is chosen, not ordered from a brochure.

  2. 02

    Site prep

6 inches of compacted Granular A, then a 1-inch limestone screening setting bed.

  3. 03

    Dry-lay the field

Every slab laid out without mortar first. Joints studied for an hour before anything sets.

  4. 04

    Cut and fit

Edges scribed and cut with a wet diamond saw for a hairline joint.

  5. 05

    Sweep and settle

Polymeric sand or stone dust depending on the look. Misted, then left.
